Welcome to Commonwealth Fraud Control Information Online – a reference point for information about combating fraud against the Commonwealth.
Fraud is an extremely serious matter. Commonwealth agencies reported losses due to external fraud of approximately $600 million in 2008-09.
The Australian Government is committed to taking a systematic and stringent approach to preventing and detecting fraud against the Commonwealth.
This website was developed by the Attorney-General’s Department and the Australian Federal Police to share information including:
- Policy frameworks;
- Key documents;
- Emerging trends;
- Implementation guidance;
- Details of other organisations who are working in this area; and
- Other useful publications.
